Melissa F1 (WM 20160)

Medium vigor, very rustic, with good leaf coverage. Medium early cycle. Notable fruit setting and productivity. Ideal for medium and late transplants under tunnels and in open fields. It is suitable for grafted use of Cucurbita sspp crosses. Large caliber, of the elongated oval watermelon type of about 15-20kg and over, with a very attractive crimson skin. When ripe, the skin has a normal thickness for the type and very compact and crunchy pulp. Intense red color, high brix level and excellent flavor. Few seeds which together with a compact and crunchy pulp make it ideal for both the domestic market and for export.
